iheartsims
Grr! I got a new PC as a gift. ITs a Dell, and I like it, except that Dell put some ads in the welcome screen. Anyway to remove these? Thanks!
paullyboy
You can see what's active at startup. From the desktop: Click on the START button > control panel > Administrative Tools > System Configuration > Startup. You can opt out of a lot of stuffthere, but remember(make notes of) what you de-activate. Oh, and do a 'Create a Restore Point' first using'System Restore'. Best, Paul

Thanks!I recommend reinstalling your whole OS unless you have something you really need, it will speed up your computer some, too, since it won't have all of those ads running the background.
