Hi guys,

First of all, a big thanks to nuhi for the creation of such great tools...

I've made a lot of "lite" copies of XP using nlite and now that I want to switch to Vista, I naturally want to lighten it up as well. However, after reading a few posts on this forum, a lot of things are confusing me and I'd like to ask a few things to some of you who have been using this wonderful program for some time now.

So here it is. I have had a copy of of Vista business (non SP1) with my Dell laptop. If I understood well, I have to integrate the SP1 before removing anything. Right?

So I integrate the SP1 and create a new ISO. Should I "rebuild" the archive? Should I hit the Apply button? (I have read I should only press Apply if I have a copy of Vista Ultimate, is that right?). Also, I've heard it can take quite some time. How much time roughly?

Once this new SP1 ISO is made, I can start removing things from it (as I used to do with nlite), right?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Its like riding a bike the switch from nLite to vLite, you will see its easy to understand

You can Rebuild 1 (Home Prem) or Rebuild All, but if you want to rebuild all it will not slipstream sp1 into all the versions. You have to do a session for each (which will take forever and may not fit onto a DVD so rebuild 1 IMO)

Hi, thanks for your answer.

Ok, I guess the different tweak options of vlite itself will be close to nlite and I'm pretty sure I can figure it out. But to be honest your second second sentence sounds like Chinese to me...
Would it mean that my Vista DVD contains all version?? As I said, I have a copy of Business, so I guess my serial will only be valid for Business (correct me if I'm wrong). But basically all I want is an SP1 ISO of Vista Business that I can strip/tweak... How shall I do then?
