Hi,

i use a unattended system for preinstalling vista on several machines for endusers. the product key is entered at installation begin. after installation windows will be activated and syspreped for oobe.

after restart oobe is asking for the product key. vista (without sp1) was not asking for that key (has used the key entered at installation) and was activated.

since sp1 vista is asking for a product key, the problem is that some of our coustomers are to stupid for entering the product key and call always the support line :sneaky:

i have no ideas how to fix it

vista versions/keys are from a standard SB version.

Thanks :)

Are you manually installing the SP1 redist or did you slipstream it into your install?

What OS is installed on your Technician PC? Some OSes do not slipstream properly. If you look in the Unattended Vista forum, you may find similar questions and perhaps answers. Your problems sounds familiar so I am going to guess that someone has posted about it here before.
