Puky70,
Sorry, most of us can't read German. Can you translate it for us. Also, when I clicked on the image, I was taken to ImageShack but not your image. I was going to send it to a friend to translate but can't.
Give us some help and we may be able to help you.
Enjoy, John.

You're using Vista huh? We have seen this odd bug to and I might have a solution. Let me do some more testing and I'll get back to you. For now just leave the disk in until wpi starts properly...

Yes, leave the disk in or simply click "cancel" (the button on the left) four (4) times and then WPI will start properly.

Kel, Mark, I was able to tear down, troubleshoot, and set up dozens of machines this weekend thanks to MSFN and WPI. The least of my concerns was the actual install routine, which went like clockwork. Thanks again fellas. :thumbup

Hi John,

the error message is about mshta.exe and told me there is no CD in the drive. But it is still in it.
I am using WindowsXP at the moment.

Kindly Regards

I may have a solution from the person who posted about using WMI for the cd/dvd check. I will post if works or not later.

I thought this was just a Vista problem, but may be an XP x64 issue also. Dunno for sure.

I put the new code in and it seems to work. I didn't get the pop up window. Will send it out to beta testers.

This issue has been resolved. I may make a 7.1.2 release if it is needed bad enough.

Here is another question about blank screen. I searched (blank screen). As config.js file is large (now 155 kB and still growing) for Free Program Set made with means addons2wpi it takes a lot of time to load WPI window. Sometimes it continues so long that somebody would think - it is another kind of BSOD - BLANK Screen Of Death, fortunately killed by Alt+F4.
In oszone forum (Russia) it was suggested one solution to shorten this time - run following commands
regsvr32 atl.dll
regsvr32 corpol.dll
regsvr32 dispex.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 scrrun.dll
regsvr32 scrobj.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 wshext.dll
regsvr32 ole32.dll
regsvr32 oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 msxml3.dll

But for me it gives me almost no effect.
