I've been using Roboform as it seems such a great tool for remembering all my accounts, however, it's not FREE and I thought I read some where that it doesn't keep my information as secure as does KeePass.

I've downloaded KeePass Password Safe v2.05 Alpha, however, I can't seem to get it to fill any information for me. Please advise me as to what I need to do in order for it to work.

I have the following added to the notes section:
{TITLE}*Gmail*{USERNAME}{TAB}{PASSWORD}{ENTER} * If incorrect please advise.

The nice thing with Roboform is that you don't really have to do anything it just saves the information I type when registering a new account, but with KeePass it doesn't seem to do that. A small price to pay if it keeps my information secure.

In my experience with v1.x, I didn't need to change anything from the default.

i.e. the Autotype default sequence is {USERNAME}{TAB}{PASSWORD}{ENTER} anyhow so just leave the entire Notes section blank.

For the 'Title' just use whatever is used as the title of the login page, it appears that the following will do for that:

Google Mail

When you access the page just utilise your hotkey sequence.

Is KeePass more secure than RoboForm?
