I'm having an issue with res hacker, Using the guide here about changing the boot screen it says to use 1, 8, and 10 (for pro) but i get numbers 1 - 8 then 13 - 15 i'm missing from 9 to 12, is there something wrong with my file? i've tried with both the original ntoskrnl from source disc, and the modified one from my sp3 slipstream.

Also, is the $39.95 price worth that program? Or should i stick with res hacker?

hellbringer616, there are many free resource editors. I use Explorer Suite (I use XP x64) and XN Restorator. There is a good tutorial in the nLite forum on doing this. It recommends using TuneUp Utilities 2009 so you do not have to touch the EXE, just select your image. You can use it on a 30 day trial, as I did, and it costs nothing. Enjoy, John.
