even though windows media player isn't the greatest in the world, it still mops the floor with real's player.

I won't install Real. Not because of Microsoft, but because when I install it, it wants to be part of my system tray, and it wants to install all of these applications that I don't want. LOSE THE CRAP, and then we will talk

you can remove.. or even stop that crap on install, and you can turn off the tray stuff. i have it installed but only because some news sites i visit use the format... as i said in the comments section on the front page, video auality is always bad compared to other movie formats with the same file size. look on any site that offers multi format downloads or streams for movies, the real player ones are always bad quality and very bad sound compared to other formats, its always fuzzy and blocky as hell video and sound is like its comming over a cb radio.

Dont forget, these court cases are not always a "real" case, in that some are done solely for publicicty. Win or loose the case real player get publicity for it, and theres always a chance they might win... so its a win win for them.
