PROBLEM IN USB BOOT

HI! again..!! =)

thanks to MSFN Group i learned lot of things from U..
more power guys..! =) =)

and I've still got more Question for.
I tried to boot my USB into another CPU
P4 INTEL_D865PCD Motherboard
but it always appearing on the DOS screen is a Flashing cursor with a letter on the left side
"j_" <---- this!

i already update the bios and i did all the stuff that is needed to boot usb..
but I still got the same problem..
but It works fine on other PC..

Anybody got an Idea how to fix this..?? =)

From what you report, it seems like one of the two motherboards use CHS and the other one LBA to access the partition table. :unsure:

If the Usb stick has been partitioned with the HP USB utility, it is possible that CHS and LBA data is "unbalanced".

It is also possible that one of the two PC's "fall" in one of the "strange" categories of FAQ #10:

Post both the MBR and bootsector that is giving you the problem, I'll have a look at it.

Or get Beeblebrox or PTEDIT32 or similar utilities and check the values in partition table against those calculated with this spreadsheet:

Well, actually you should put both the MBR AND Bootsector in a .zip file and attach it here.

But how do they compare against calculated data? :unsure:
