Version: 3.8.32.180

Updated: 10.21.2008

modifications listing:
no toolbar installation
remove IE plugin
remove Mozilla plugin
remove autorun on boot

change advertised shortcut to common shortcut in startmenu
doesn't change the homepage to skype

Shortcut is at default in start menu as I don't like to change those at ALLPROGRAMS\SKYPE\SKYPE.EXE

I always make a switchless installer. Anyone can get it at the link in my signature.
The installers is for the main application, without plugins and nothing at startup.

Thanks, Raoul90 and elajua. I prefer elajua's installer, because it doesn't add the right-click "Send To Skype" shortcut.
Thanks a lot.:)

Hi folks,

I have never downloaded and used Skype! So, you will excuse me for dumb Q's ...

Q1: Is the Skype versions that you guys offer here any different than the Original One!?!?

Q2: If so, why do you modify it?

Q3: Which version of the ones you guys offer here is the Least Intrusive and Dummy Friendly?

Thanks,

G!:)

Q1: The only thing that is different in my installer is:
Does not include toolbars/desktopshortcut/startupitem.

Q2: Because i dont like toolbars/desktopshortcut/startupitem.

Q3: Both will work just fine.

Hi Raoul,

Thanks for the Reply ... and clarifying things for me.

Actually, I am not too crazy about "Auto Start-Up" of application of this type ... I rather Start it when I need it.

Also, I guess I can always go to the program application .exe and send a "Shortcut" to desktop if I ever need one. Right!?!?

Appreciate the help!

G!:)

I finally created the switchless installer following the instructions here, but I placed the shortcuts in Start Menu like elajua's installer and removed the "Send To Skype" shortcut.
If you want it you can download it here.

EDIT:
Updated to v4.0.0.224.

I made regular updates of my installer as soon as a new version comes out. The new one is already on my site.
