I have installed vlite 1.2 to take care of some crap I'd like to get rid of in WinVista Home Premium. It requires knowledge of where the original installation files/folders are on my Acer M5640 machine. Acer does not supply an installation disk or documentation, it just does all the installing from somewhere on one of the two partitions already allocated. (Drive C: and D:)
I installed vlite on my H: drive - an 80gb external USB drive which I also use to boot Linux Ubuntu from. (so the drive works fine)
Can anyone tell me how to discover the hidden folders/files on my Acer machine? They simply don't appear even though I have a full admin account and have enabled "View Hidden Files"

You want to access a hidden system partition. Google it. Its been done before.
- ← SOLVED: Vista: It only starts up in safe mode (Home Premium)
- Windows Vista
- PC Locks up - Error Event ID 8003 →
