hey i want to make a small net work between two computers
one has vista and is a laptop and the other is a pc with windows me
now when i put a Ethernet card in the pci bus in the windows me pc
and turn on the computer it installs the drivers and then i restart to finish the install drivers part
but when the computer if finished starting it comes up with explorer has a error in <unknown>
and then i press ok and explorer restarts but the same thing comes back
i delete the drivers in device manager and take the ethernet card out of the computer but the explorer has a error in <unknown> is still there but a scanreg
restore fixs all

the drivers install from windows me driver base
they install the right ones
i cant install the drivers from the cd becasue i got no cd lol
the Ethernet card is a compaq NC3121
is there any drivers i can get from a web site ? mabye the win me ones are bad

i tryed a realtek RTL8139(A) pci fast etherent adapter and the same thing happened

There are no drivers available there. It does not say that the card supports WinME.
