I am trying to create a slipstream VISTA Enterprise + SP1 CD to run in the unattended mode. I am using VLite 1.2

I enter my License/Product key in the Unattended screen, but when I check the product key to activate after installation, it is not the same key and activation fails. I must then re-enter the product key and activate my copy.

It appears that the information from the VLite Unattended screen does not get passed or gets clobbered. What am I doing wrong? Does it matter if I am adding SP1 or not?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank.
Dave

MagicAndre1981,

I'm not sure what your message implies. Does this mean I can't pass the product key using VLite? If I can, how do I do it? What version(s) of VISTA will take the product key, if any so I can pass it along?

Has anyone successfully passed the product using VLite in the setup I am slipstreaming?

Thanks again for your help.
Dave

this is a special feature from the Enterprise Setup. The pid.txt includes an generic key to install the enterprise Edition. You can try to change that key to your matching KMS or MAK Key

Changing the pid.txt value to my license id on the disk did not help; in fact, when the window appeared for me to enter my license code, it would not accept this valid key. So it appears VLite will not help by passing the license key.

Thanks all for your help.
Dave
