Oracle VirtualBox silent install (alternative to posted above)

1. Get latest VirtualBox
The example is tested with VirtualBox-x.y.z-12345-Win.exe though you can download the latest from:
https://www.virtualb.../wiki/Downloads
2. To install silently you require to have the VM certificate you must use 7-zip to exract content of VirtualBox-x.y.z-12345-Win.exe
Then use 7-zip again to extract the content of file_VBoxGuestAdditions.iso
Go to cert directory and now you got oracle-vbox.cer
or you can extract using this code:

 Cert.cmd

set vb=%temp%\vbtemp
mkdir "%vb%"
"%~dp07z.exe" x "%~dp0VirtualBox*-Win.exe" -o"%vb%"
"%~dp07z.exe" x "%vb%\*.iso" -o"%vb%"
xcopy /i /c /r /s /y "%vb%\cert\*.cer" "%~dp0"

The batch must be in the same directory as the files!
Also place the basic 7-zip libraries e.g "7z.dll", "7z.exe" in same directory to make this script work.

3.To install the program
place the the "common.cab" "oracle-vbox.cer" & "VirtualBox-4.2.18-r88780-MultiArch_amd64.msi"
Remember to use the correct .msi to suit your system's architecture!
I then just used winrar to make an SFX package to silently install using:

;The comment below contains SFX script commands
TempMode
Silent=1
Overwrite=1
setup=certutil -addstore "TrustedPublisher" oracle-vbox.cer
setup=VirtualBox-4.2.18-r88780-MultiArch_amd64.msi /qn

NB:To use with an older OS like XP etc, you may need certutil.exe to install this certificate.

This works flawless for me & once you have the cert file once you can use it with future builds until Oracle change it that is!

Enjoy.

Happy New Year!!
