Thanks for those.
I make my own switchless installer for every application and the common components but these can be helpful when needed.

I think this is better.

Just use the msi created in the end. You can pretty much do everything such as import certificates with it.

Sort of the same thing but for windows media player...

Enjoy!

Silent install for Daemon Tools pro "DAEMONToolsPro4360309-0160.exe "

Quote

Silent mode
DAEMON Tools Pro setup provides advanced way to install the program via command line or batch file without user interaction. Such functionality is commonly used for remote software deployment.

Such DAEMON Tools Pro installation method is called Silent Mode.

To install DAEMON Tools Pro in silent mode you need to run setup file with /S parameter (case sensitive) from the command line. Also you need to specify the following parameters:

•/S — main parameter which enables silent mode (case sensitive parameter)
•/serial <serial number> — specify your serial number to activate DAEMON Tools Pro
•/nogadget — not to install DAEMON Tools Sidebar Gadget automatically on Windows Vista/7 (can be installed manually later)
•/D=<installation path> — optional (must be at the end of the command)

Copy this reg file inside: C:\VNCed_UltraVNC_MSI_108\UltraVNC_1082

You can add inside: UltraVNC_install.bat

Quote

@echo off
regedit /s VNC_Cert.reg
UltraVNC_1.0.8.2_Setup.exe /verysilent /loadinf="UltraVNC.inf"
xcopy "ultravnc.ini" "%PROGRAMFILES%\UltraVNC\" /R /Y
net stop uvnc_service
net start uvnc_service

2) Second method:

If you want you can improve the silent installation for UltraVNC with SFX method.

Help about this method:
http://www.msfn.org/...dule-and-tools/
http://www.wincert.n...less-installer/
http://7zsfx.info/en/

You need 7zsd.sfx; config.txt and config.bat files and 7zip installed.

config.txt:

Quote

;!@Install@!UTF-8!
GUIMode="2"
RunProgram="regedit /s VNC_Cert.reg"
RunProgram="UltraVNC_1.0.8.2_Setup.exe /verysilent /loadinf=UltraVNC.inf"
RunProgram="hidcon:cmd /c UltraVNC_install.bat"
;!@InstallEnd@!

config.bat

Quote

copy /b 7zsd.sfx + config.txt + UltraVNC.7z UltraVNC.exe

UltraVNC_install.bat

Quote

@echo off
net stop uvnc_service
net start uvnc_service

With 7zip create a folder named UltraVNC.7z and launch the config.bat file to create the new UltraVNC.exe
The package created "UltraVNC.exe" give an installation fully unattended and without switches!

*Edit: Using 7zsd_All.sfx you can choose between 32-bits or 64-bits UltaVNC during the silent installation

Help here:
7z SFX modified module and Tools

Example inside config.txt:
RunProgram="x64:blah.64.exe /s"
RunProgram="x86:blah.32.exe /s"

Although the -ms switch is known from before, what exactly does the -ira switch do?

Cheers

The switch: -ira prevents the post-install application launch

Microsoft Intellipoint 8.0.225

1. Edit ip.msi with Wininstall LE as described in this ancient post
2. make sure you have not only the modified ip.msi, but also it's companion folders ("fonts" and "files") in your source directory
3. Find your "device id" in the IPointDevices.xml (for mice) or ITypeDevices.xml (for keyboards)
4a. install mouse with the following command: msiexec /i %source directory%\ip.msi MM="device id" /passive
or
4b. install keyboard with the following command: msiexec /i %source directory%\ip.msi KB="device id" /passive
or both consecutively if you have both types of device

Optionally you can add "DSKSHORTCUT=0" to suppress the creation of desktop shortcuts

Oracle VirtualBox silent install

1 - First download and install on your computer, the latest version here:

https://www.virtualb.../wiki/Downloads

Rename the exe file as VirtualBox.exe

2 - Inside the registry browse to and save the complete registry file:

- computer x86:

Virtual_1.reg
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\TrustedPublisher\Certificates\A88FD9BDAA06BC0F3C491BA51E231BE35F8D1AD5]
"Blob"=hex:.....

- computer amd64:

Virtual_2.reg
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\TrustedPublisher\Certificates\A88FD9BDAA06BC0F3C491BA51E231BE35F8D1AD5]
"Blob"=hex:.........

3 - You can use:

- on computer x86:
regedit /s Virtual_1.reg

VirtualBox.exe -silent -s

- on computer amd 64, merge the two reg files and use same commands!

With this method, when a new version is created, you just need to change the exe file!
