transferring files from Direct Burned CD to usb drive

Hi Everyone,

I am new here and was really glad to find out about nLite. It is great to be here.

Make a long story short - I have a trimmed down version of Windows XP, which I burned directly onto a CD from nLite. However, I am trying to install this onto my EEE Pc, which does not have a CD-rom drive. Therefore, I transferred the files on the CD to a USB drive, yet, my laptop still won't boot from the USB drive. (FYI, I have Ubuntu installed my EEE Pc).

Are there any issues with booting nLite Windows from a USB drive or is there a problem with my laptop/ubuntu setting?

Thanks!

I haven't personally looked at them yet but Jaclaz is the man, so I trust his references are worthy :)

Thanks for trusting me :).

@bluemm

In your particular case, do not forget to read BEFORE ANYTHING else the FAQ's:

and expecially FAQ#2, you may need to re-create your nlited CD if you removed "Manual Install"...;)
