When use WinntbbuED to open winntbbu.dll, WinntbbuED will appear "run-time error 380" and close by inself automatically.

What should do in order to make WinntbbuEDwork for me?

OK first off is the download corrupted?

Second off what is the EXACT build number of the winntbbu.dll?

I have used it dozens of times and haven't run into that error before.

OK also:

What OS are you on?

Please verify your file:

249 kb in size and the MD5Hash is = 1655B1D06811D936D7CA05275F086636

Thanks for your help

I have download it 3 times and all appear "run-time error 380"

The build number of the winntbbu.dll is 5.1.2600.5512

OS is Winxp pro sp3 zh-tw

I am sure that the MD5Hash is the correct one.

Is the OS language will affect the performance of WinntbbuED?

sorry for my poor English.

I honestly do believe it is your language.

You can however manually reshack the winntbbu.dll file with reshacker --> http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/

I know that Resource Hacker can reshack the winntbbu.dll.
But what I need is that I want to preview the winntbbu.dll is work or not after editing.

xpreview works

http://www.msfn.org/...showtopic=80716

Only for xp though. And from my experiences, removing all the text from the install throws errors in Xpreview but it works fine in the actual load.

As well: you can always double click the winnt32.exe as well, it will fail but you can see your custom billboard.

yup.

Best solution I use to test progress bar or custom squares at the bottom right is loading it into virtual box from an .iso on the local drive, only takes about 5 minutes to get to the billboard.
