Hello,
i have a problem with V. 7.2.0.

I try to enter this command:
msiexec.exe /i "%wpipath%\Install\eTrustc\iGateway_42_win32.msi" CMDLINE=ITM ADDLOCAL=iGateway,Spin INSTALLDIR="C:\PROGRAMME\CA\SharedComponents\iTechnology" /qn

but WPI cuts it after iGateway.

I convert this from V. 7.1.1 and with this Version it works fine.

Does someone have a solution?

Thanks
Dennis

That will have to do with the new unlimited command lines. I was expecting something like this to come up. The comma is probably the cause, but it shouldn't be in this situation.

Does WPI split the command into 2 seperate commands, or just drop everything after the comma?

Send or post the install log for that section.

OK sounds messed up but I have a solution.

WinRAR!

Make a sfx with the file --> in it

then add these comments to it.
;The comment below contains SFX script commands

Setup=iGateway_42_win32.msi CMDLINE=ITM ADDLOCAL=iGateway,Spin INSTALLDIR="C:\PROGRAMME\CA\SharedComponents\iTechnology" /qn
TempMode
Silent=1
Overwrite=1

It will extract the installer to the temp dir and run it with the parameters.

It will do the job for now till we can get a fix out.

I have to agree with Kels for now. The comma is causing the split. I have an idea, but have to do some testing..............
