Am currently following the instructions to the t for getting an iss file from InstallShield installers. Only problem is they are no-where to be found in the C:\Windows or WINNT directories as specified in the guide. However looking through my real pc I can see that in Program Files there is Installshield Information folder, in this there are the different folders with different iss files in. So I thought ok I'll just install on my virtual machine and see if it pops up in there. Which it doesn't  . Can someone point out what I'm doing wrong please :) .

do it through a command prompt, something like C:\Your Program\setup.exe -R -f1"c:\Your Program\setup.iss"

It should record the .iss for the Installshield prog for. works for me.

anyway  from the suprnova forums :D

you mag :)

1st thing I did, there isn't one.

I also tried Hatsumi's way (this is Diskeeper 8 btw) but was only left with the setup.exe and the read me again. Has anyone else had problems with diskeeper ?

Works fine for me, Diskeeper8.0.exe (not extracted) using /s /v/qn, if that doesn't work, try /qn

The program runs fine on startup from my batch file, the only problem is it's asking for agreement to eula etc, that's why i want the .iss file as the guide says that will do away with the end-user having to click next or anything. :)
