You need to specify an extra switch to define where the logfile should be saved to: /f2"%temp%\setup.log"

Be sure to read the MSFN Unattended Guide. It has the answer that you seek. The advice given by Martin H is critical for installing InstallShield from read only media as InstallShield by default tries to create a log file in its own directory when run as silent mode and may cause the install to fail if the log cannot be written.

Please re-read MHz's reply, and then re-read the MSFN guide's info about "InstallShield installers" and "RunOnceEx/RunOnceEx from CD"...

When you have done that, and still do not understand it, then please ask a specific question to what you don't understand, but seriously, you should be able to understand it from the guide allready...

No need to be sorry, mate :) We all have been rookies once...

Happy studying :) (and of course you can ask all the questions you like!)
