My problem is that I have a media server set up on my local network but every now and then it needs to be restarted or updated I wanted to know if there was a way I could make a app or web based something that could run a batch file on the server. I know I could always just walk down to the server room but it is a hassle since it always seems to happen when i have company over. The main thing I use it on is my ps3 so I cant just dial in with ssh or anything. If you have any ideas or suggestion they would be greatly appreciated.
ps: for the momment i have it running on a windows xp pro box but i plan to move it to a debian server soon
