My cousin has xbox and it is modded. He plans to use xbox live with it. Now I know that the Live service updates the xbox so u cant install linux but does it effect anything else? Because he thinks that microsoft will see that it is modded and ban him from the service. Does this happen?
One more thing. He is on a highspeed lite version of cable internet. Will he lag constantly? Because he used xbox connect and lagged 80% of the time. Will it be the same result with xbox live?

From what I've heard, Microsoft will ban you from XBox Live unless you have a special modchip with an On/Off switch...
