Thanks I will do that, (one minute later:) worked perfectly.
I am still not clear about where to check for latest list of the non-harmful Windows 7 updates.
I only got this computer with 7 about a week ago, very first thing I did, I installed the updates from MS, except for the one I knew might cause a problem. How do I proceed from now on? The ones from May's Tuesday for example...
I have installed the latest of your lists and can simply download all of it, it will select by itself what is not already there?

I would download and install the last remaining update, and see what happens, you never know it might not cause any problems to your system, but if it does just uninstall it, by going to windows update and clicking on the installed updates on the bottom left and double click on update KB978542 and follow the instructions on screen.

And you don't have to worry about any of the update list's posted here, they are all clean and geniune.

Thank you, that is precisely what I wanted to know..
Thanks again for the great work you guys are doing for all of us beginners. By now I understand at least enough to really appreciate that...

See you after June-Tuesday.

As far as i know, all Windows 7 updates are language neutral, which means that all languages are supported!

You can download below two ulz's which feature updates for Windows 7, which was released on 8th June 2010!

Next Update: Tuesday 13th July 2010 (Any updates between now and then will be included in the next update lists!)

I have tried again to download this, but all I get an index file 10kb worth... with a pop up, saying it cannot open it...
When I go to my WUD 2.50 built 998, all it offers are the May downloads, from 5-11, which I already have....

Where did I take a wrong turn?

Strange, maybe it was corrupted from a bad download, anyway, i've released some new UL's dated 24th June at the top of this page, so it should help get you those important June updates.

Thanks, now I get this... is that all there is to it? The pop up says it installed everything, but all it took was 2 seconds?

Yes it's normal, cause it only takes a second to install the update list, the main thing is, can you download the updates from the list when loaded in WUD.

Say I've downloaded May.ulz

and download KB000001 to KB000010 stored in c:\wud
now, I've downloaded July.ulz containing links from KB000011 to KB000020.
KB000001 is now superseded by KB000011 while the rest aren't.

So to save bandwidth, I'd wanna have KB000001 removed and KB000011-KB000020 downloaded.

Any idea how I can manage all these?

FYI
KB975561 for both 32Bit & 64Bit is no longer needed for the update per this. MS has revised the software as no longer an affected component (Aug. 11, 2010) at the bottom of the page.

Hi, Thanks for this! :D Heres a list of the updates that have come out since you last updated the list.

Important

KB2079403
KB2160329
KB978886
KB980436
KB981852
KB982214
KB982665
KB982799
KB971033
KB2183461

Optional
KB890830 Windows Malicious software removal tool August 2010
KB982670 Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client profile
KB982664 Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility View list

How can I create a list? I was thinking of creating a list for office 2007 But I dont know where to start.

Edit: I found a program to do this Here and I found out how to package the update list here but the program doesn't seem to work anymore. WUD just spits out errors when trying to load the update list.

The update list is malformed. there are multiple root elements. Line 9, Position 2. (X2)
The update list is malformed. Unexpected end of file has occurred. The following elements are not closed: Line 22 Position 10.

Would you be kind enough to give me the layout of an update list?

Thanks :)
