Hi all.
strange problem has arisen and i am not sure when it began, at least one contact on live messenger can receive my messages but when they reply i see nothing...NO message. i have deleted and re-added the contact i have uninstalled live messenger and reinstalled the 2009 version but the problem remains.I also do not see the display photo the contact has i just see the little msn guy.i have invited the contact into a 3 way conversation and this is where i was really perplexed i then lost both contacts they both could read my text but i could not see a reply. "they could message each other however". i repeat the contact has no trouble getting my messages i just cannot receive theirs.running xp pro service pack 3 and live 2009 version have avg pro installed as antivirus /firewall not sure what else i can say

Can you see if this happens with the web messenger, so we can get an idea of which side the problem is occuring on:

The problem does not happen when using web messenger. only live messenger and i have uninstalled it reinstalled it totally removed all traces of live messenger using WL-Beta-remove.cmd from the live have also gone back to messenger 8.1 and still the same problem happens.and it seems with just one contact only.(it maybe others but until they come online i cannot say)
