Hi,

i used this tutorial http://www.boot-land.net/forums/index.php?...900&noref=1

everything was fine. I can boot from USB i can choose drive c: during installation of windows. (tried format, delete, don't change file system). But during copying files after I choose partition. I can see this message:

Setup cannot copy the file: _default.pif

I have windows 2003 source CD with DriverPacks.net. on USB flash disk.

Computer has 3 partitions - EISA utilities, C: and D: - ACER Aspire 9300

Anybody had same issue?

Thank you for help

Did you delete partitions ? In that case you have to Reboot with TXT-mode of Setup.

Disconnect ANY other USB-drive like Backup Harddisks or Cardreaders.

Try to reboot from USB-stick with TXT-mode of XP Setup and Select just your C: Drive as Install Partition,

Select Quick Format with NTFS FileSystem.

If that does NOT work, it might be that you are missing a MassStorage driver.

For Install of XP on a modern system with SATA Drives it is needed to use DPsBase.exe

for Integrating in your XPSOURCE BTS DriverPack Massstorage with TXT Mode Enabled.

In that case a lot of Extra RAID SCSI and SATA Drivers (about 120 extra) are Integrated which appear in the

XP Setup BootFolder $WIN_NT$.~BT on Install-Drive and can prevent a lot of XP Install Boot Problems.

The program supports the use of BTS DriverPacks located in OEM Folder on USB-Drive

http://driverpacks.net/DriverPacks/

If No success then try to use http://www.boot-land.net/forums/?showtopic=5306
