Hi,

When I run winPE from the CD it recognizes my network card and I get an IP address from our DHCP server.
I use this line in the winbom.ini

Quote

[WinPE.NET]IPConfig = DHCP

(the complete winbom.ini is attached to this issue)

When I want to use the net use x: \\myServer\myShare command it tells me that the workstation service is not running?

I tried net start workstation but I get the following error:
the workstation service could not be started
a system error has occurred
system error 123 has occurred
the filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect

What am I doing wrong?

I'm having the same problem. I haven't been able to find the answer yet.
Been fighting this for 2 days not. I could surely use some advise.

I figured it out.
It ended up being the FactoryComputerName = * entry in the winbom.ini file.
I removed it and everything worked fine.
