Yes, you should make settings in Regional .. to see normal cyrrilic characters. Drivers Installation Assistant, written in VB6, still has no multilanguage support. I wait it also, have no ideo how to make it. Maybe should I ask the developer for Assistant's code? I would try to translate it.
Drivers.exe cannot be in the root unless all content of the folder Samdrivers is not moved to the root

this is still the best proggy ive found in my last 6 years of I.T work.

Is there a way I wonder to donate via there webby and perhaps recieve the better version with win7 support ?

Except first post, all links are for pro version (with internet support). You will not get better version if you will donate, but this is very welcomed.

I tested this tool for a weeks on lots of different computers..
Most common drivers work on Vista/XP but some special PCI cards and a few chipset drivers didn't worked.
Also i get a few bluescreens while installing drivers.. but in overall this is a nice tool

Could you explain more detailed which PCI cards and chipsets did not worked, or this is just history?
What circumstances was when BSOD occured ..

Sorry i cant remember, was 2 or 3 weeks ago with a random HP system i think.
Chipset drivers mostly from Asus and HP notebooks dont work.

Ill write them down next time ^^

Have to agree with Quad

Im using this tool every hour or so on desktops and laptops mainly with XP/Vista and ive found few similar issues like bsods during driver installation.

Its usualy occuring on soundcards for myself, sound cards seem to be a very tricky driver if not the hardest to obtain.

But sadly I havent really noted the brand/hardware device since im constantly busy at work.

I have noticed Driver Pack Solution also failing on many drivers usualy on Vista drivers with soundcards and sometimes on Lan/wireless cards and even tv tuners it struggles with.

With windows XP it seems to be more solid/reliable.

I grabbed the latest version from there site after translation the non pro one and have been using that but noticed it gives me a error on some windows 7 pcs says you need the pro version, and sometimes it doesnt have online support either.

I would have idealy loved to get the pro version with full/better support it seems but it says something about having to email 5 people and then u get the download link? Perhaps i should just grab the pro link from here

I will start noting down the hardware device drivers it struggles with regards

hi im using the driver soloution home edition.

just reading thru some post and yes ive been greated by that russian message that pops up saying you gotta do something to get pro version...

Its appearing nearly all the time on win7 machines but its sometimes works for me, dont see that message on xp/vista machines though.

A torrent/rapidshare/newsgroup link to the Pro version would have been welcome I could have given feedback regarding compatiblitiy on Win7 machines since im restoring them and running OEM vista/win7 installations daily at my work place.

I have noticed it keeps nagging for an update also but it takes you to a site and I rarely grab the update, alot of drivers within vista are stating find on the internet but of course I click on internet and it states only on Pro version is this feature available.

Otherwise a truely remarkable program with great potential, my friends use this regularly also and apart from the same issues above that they get have said its working well and so far to date has the best hardware detection system going, its correctly identifitying hardware found in device manager thats not identified which majority of programs do not do ie sisoftsandra/everest home and even Speccy the new program. Speccys got potential however and is good at times.

I wish I had time to email/forward the program to 10+ people and get the pro but in my line of work no time sadly ! Am lucky if I get to eat my own lunch !

Small update! Version 2.1.8
Changes:
New option for handling a new additional package DP_Runtimes_ *. 7z.
- Removed the closing program, with a negative result, with verification of changes to the text of the license agreement.
- Fixed bug when starting the program when checking the license agreement.
* Changed the allocation of packages in the "Recommended" in the allocation is no longer accounted for packages with equal drivers.
- Removed bug zadvoeniya tips for the buttons, the status displays.
* Length strings are stored in the parameter ExcludeFileName increased to 1024.
