Vista's Network/Internet Connection Icon How to bring back in system tray

I loved the way Vista showed when the network was connected and internet was available with the icon in system tray. It also showed when the network/internet communication was active.

With windows 7, it doesn't do that with a wireless connection. That's annoying!

Is there a way to bring it back?
