When I try to instal Win2000 or XP I always get the following error:

Quote

Couldn't find file HPT3XX.SYS Press any key to continue
Then setup quits.
AFAIK, this file is not part of my original win2k nor xp CDs, anyone having this trouble? Any Help Will be much appreciated. :)

Looks to me like a missing Highpoint IDE/RAID driver.

Perhaps best visiting their website, downloading and installing the drivers?

Problem is that I don't have this device on my PC, so I don't need those drivers (besides AFAIK this file is not shipped with the original Windows discs), the weirdest thing is that this only happens with an unattended multi-boot DVD, when I run setup within an unattended CD it works perfectly. Again: I'm using VirtualPC and VMWare for testing with ISO images.
