After spending 2 complete days getting my stuff ready to make the ultimate boot dvd, im now stuck in the last stage. when i try creating the iso with the cdimage tool it starts scanning files/dirs and then it just exits the process & comes back to the the cmd prompt. the final iso that it has to creates is 0 bytes.

i repeated the same procedure making sure about the switches required but to no avail.. :)

any help really appreciated!

TIA

Could you send the commands you use?

Hi Shaq,

This may or may not help but it is similar to a problem I encounted.

You need to make sure that there is enough space to create the image on the drive. So you need enough space for the directories you created plus enough for the uncompressed image.

Hope this helps

Adam

shag, don't use "start" in your command line. I believe this opens another window and you won't see the error message that CDImage outputs because the window closes instantly.

Thx for your suggestions guys. let me tell you that first of all i did try out the command without the START command in the begining and guess what it showed, insufficient disk space!! :)

The funny thing is that my whole compilation totaled around 4.23 GB and the hard FREE drive space i had was around 25GB+. it said it required around 48GB free disk space.. isnt that weird?

anyways, i had included my 5-in1 Off2k3 .iso file in my compilation just to back it up on the dvd. when i remove the off2k3 iso it worked fine but if i add it to my collection it never works..

i have successfully made the ultimate dvd and am happy with it now.
