The Recycler Folder, Is It A Hidden Folder Or A Normal One.....?

Coz Last Time I Checked The Recycler Folder Is Default In Windows And Is A Hidden Folder + Desktop.ini Files Are Also Default By Windows.....(But They Can Get Altered By Virus)

Anyways If You Still Think Its A Virus, Try An Online Scan Instead Of Antivirus install.....(Trendmicro Housecall)

Also It Could Be A Rootkit, Download Anti Rootkit Software.....

Also Use HijackThis To Find The Culprit!

Go here and download this tool. Update to altest definitions. Do a full scan of your HDD. I had almost the same problem and this tool removed malware. For me that folder created only on USB sticks not on all HDD's.

Cheers ;)

I thought this was a joke or a troll, but if your serious those are normal Windows files and folders which have a purpose.

BTW what version of Windows are you experiencing this "problem" with?

LOL!

I Think His .Ini Files Are Corrupt!

Those Folders Are Default With XP Right?

Its Been A While Since I've Seen XP...

From what has been reported, it is likely that there is something "wrong".

The "symptoms" are those or similar to those of the "recycler.exe" virus/Worm:

http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6142_102-0.html?threadID=247496

or a derivative of some kind.

It is tagged as either:

W32/Usbalex worm

W32/SillyFDC-Y

http://www.threatexpert.com/report.aspx?md...cc1c8a4db958f2e

But this one is also similar:

http://www.threatexpert.com/report.aspx?md...6bc5a3b6bca8701

It's strange that tools don't detect an infection.

It is also possible that something is triggering settings about hidden files/folders/folder view, and Recycler folder and desktop.ini may be "legal" windows files.

More details are needed to try to understand which is the cause.

The use of Autorun eater may be advised ANYWAY:
