Hmmm... features look good and it appears to allow direct integration (at least it says Vista, bit not any other OS's ).

edit - Woohoo! Installed on a VPC! Pretty! Lots of features. Seems pretty fast. F12=Developer Tools - had a tab with initial Google on it, F12. and Lo! It showed me pretty code! Now maybe I can learn a little more to clean up my crappy MySpace!

Downloaded yet no installed, still way partial to Opera browsers and was disappointed with Microsoft's attempt at tabs

This might actually bring me back over from using Firefox, i love the tab grouping, and as per Skywarrior74's comment, in previous versions it felt like tabbed browsing was more of an addon, but this one feels far more integrated. It's probably down to the overall speed of it, IE8 is fast as hell!

You can slipstream IE8 into Vista officially with the WAIK and Package Manager.

Like IE7, Microsoft doesn't support officially slipstreaming IE8 into XP. You still have to use nLite or other 3rd party tools.

3 upgrades on Vista Ultimate x64 went just fine. No issues whatsoever.

Lots of nice features too. Don't care so much for tab groups really, but accelerators and web slices are quite nice. Private browsing looks nice too. The interface is OK, the speed is OK, etc. Overall, it's pretty decent/far better than most browsers (like Chrome or Opera). Just too bad there's no extensions Gimme Firefox-like extensions (perhaps a couple more features too, like tab thumbnails and spell checker) and I'd switch in a heart beat. I just can't live without them.

I tried. but cannot keep my favorite improvements list down to three items. So here are all the changes that matter to me:

Improved Find On Page feature, that was long overdue IMO. It's now a toolbar and highlights results on page.
Smart Address Bar - aka AwesomeBar or SuperBar. I use this a lot.
Per-site ActiveX and Per-user ActiveX. I still avoid it like the plague, but this might be a cure.
LCIE aka Tab Isolation.
Improved standards support.
Improved performance.
