so i tried installing the trial of perfectdisk 10 server edition on my server 2008 installation, and it says i need to use windows connector and share the program. what the heck? ive never even HEARD of windows connector. so i start googling and im seeing all kinds of posts, people saying their having trouble using it, and a couple of 'power packs' for it, and all this great stuff. but NOWHERE to download it from. i started to think it was included in ym server 2008 install, but i cant find it ANYWHERE. im starting to get really emotional here. i must be missing something. where can i find this connector stuff?

I'm guessing that program has misidentified your OS. Is that software a new version?

Windows Connector is one of the CDs included in the pack for Windows Home Server.

i see. well, i downloaded the trial from microsofts website, so, no cd's. am i screwed?

You might want to contact their support department to see if they know of this issue. Their support page isn't well organized, you can try looking through there but it may take you a while. Does it give you this message at install and not allow you to continue? I am going to download the demo as well and see if I can replicate the issue.
