Video Conversion

Does anyone know of a video conversion proggie....free or demo or somting....to convert avi to mpeg2.....i need to convert so i can burn SVCD's but i cant with nero unless i buy the plugin....

A good site for any type of video conversion is: www.vcdhelp.com (also provides turorial for TMPEG)

the only bad thing bout that site is that there website server is down allot :)

Virtual dub is very good for converting avi to mpg2, I used to use it a fair bit or go with TMPgenc.......both are very good

thanks for all the help guys....it was a divx movie...i used avi2vcd and decompressed the audio and right now im converting the video
