after a lot of testing i have narrowed down my problem..the error has to do with the SATA/RAID for i turned it off and all is well. I don't realy need it so i am not worried about it for now and i'll reread this part of the forum to see if it has all ready been addressed....just thought u would like to know.
hi i am getting this error too with ver22-01-2004. I never got this error with ver20-01-2004. I tried 2 different sources of my XP both did the same.

Error will be resolved for the OEM discs with the next version of XPCREATE

I had applied sp1a to it.
I though it was bc of some scratch.??
what difference does the reatail or oem discs have?
I had bought the oem to get the oem preinstall cd as well....

Secondly, I wish I knew what was happeningg, and what inf, txt, ini, etc. files were being modified and how so that if everything went wrong, I could manually fix it myself.
One small error:

Some documentation on this is needed for that reason.

I am not saying you should do it GM as you are probably busy enough (although you obviously know it inside out better than anyone)
Maybe we should start another thread just for documentation and GM can update his site with the accurate info.
Break it into small chunks and get that right and then more onto the next.
GM's site already has a great outline of what is going on.

Let's GreenMachine to open it

It's not really documentation I am looking for, more like a diff file.

Thanks for making a great program like XPCreate. I'm using it to make a basic Unattented XP CD. I have only on question which i understand verry hard. I want to install applications like movie maker 2 WMP9 and so on and so on. Now i have to make a cmdlines.txt according to the FAQ. Where to I have to place the files for installation ? And does the cmdlines.txt have to look like this :
ECHO Installing WMP9 and Movie Maker 2
ECHO Please wait...
start /wait %systemdrive%\install\WMP9_MM2\WMP9_MM2_ENU.exe
ECHO Installing .NET Framework v1.1
ECHO Please wait...
start /wait %systemdrive%\install\NetFramework\netfx.msi /qb
ECHO Installing TweakUI 2.10 Powertoy
ECHO Please wait...
start /wait %systemdrive%\install\PowerToys\TweakUI.msi /qb

I will use the MSFN guide till the new version of XPCreate comes out.

u should use XPInstall to install all hotfixes and apps ur company needs via the GUI-Setup as it is easy to use and looks very very professional.

Do you know of a thread i can view to see exactly how to use it. The Readme is very vague in its description of how to use it.
Anything will help.

:EDIT: Hey, I had read somewhere that the XPCREATE tool is also able to slipstream SP1 into your CD, if you keep it in the right location while running it.

Meaning -> Multiple copies of the file is existant on the same folder! Like, in the I386 folder, there is VGA.SYS and VGA.SY_ and setup does not know which one to use.
Or at least that's how it says in this documentation I have to fix the Dell disks.

Office and Power DVD cannot be slipstreamed into a windows install, instead they can be installed unattended from windows setup.
And how to slipstream Office 2004 (Dutch) & PowerVD into my Win XP dvd?
You need to figure out the installers used for the two programs used and then check this out http://unattended.MS...pplications.htm, there will be instructions on the various install types.

/i /u /r /z /n /f /c /x /q /w /l and it lists what they do. This happens when the runonceb batch is running and it stops at xpcin203 until i click ok or whatever.
Ive set xpcreate to install all updates, if that helps at all. I checked svcpack.inf, but i guess i didn't know what to look for.
Also, how can i integrate some driver updates from the windows xp website? I installed them(nvidia for my geforce4 and via for my rhine 2 ethernet adapter) in my oem drivers directory, but all it leads to is some of the updates and hotfixes needing to be reinstalled.
Other than that this proggie works great and i've been working on transferring my start.cmd to my command.txt. BTW anyone know why i'm having issues installing the latest non beta version of aim automatically? I followed the directions on msfns official guide.

btw, anyone knows what the manual solution from this problem?
GreenMachine does great work with XPCREATE and he is highly appreciated, just wanted to know if anyone got a solution before the new version release?

then check which one is the newer one. version number
then leave the newer one on the cd and throw the other one away.
