The XML hotfix is dll dependent only, the inf replaces the dll and reregisters it to the system.

But is unnecessary as the fix applies only to the latest ie rollup update, which is available but showing severe flaws in the field. with interoperability with other updates.

It will be added to the other "dahotfix" package likely but for now is a non esential update

Thanks GreenMachine with this new version I just placed all the patches in correct directory paths and double clicked and was finished in just under 20min, and installed fine with no hassels. thankyou for all your work and to everyone else who have contributed.

Is there an easy way of editing the .cmd so the hotfixes arn't removeable? so they don't show up in add/remove programs. it would be nice to see it look 'clean' hehe so you only see the software you install there after.

/Q /U /O /N /Z takes care of the type I

there is no corresponding for type II however. They make the add remove entries by design (usually because their patched much more often)

@green : Hi, the Roll-Ou is finished. I did 101 machines. 100% success, not one single problem!!! Perfect

I have another problem, I put some more fixes in the appropiate folders. At 13 minutes to go a Windows pops up with title Windows Installer:

Hi,

Solved my "no-vmnet0" problem by switching to MS-VPC, & finally got VM installed, with no problem I must add..

Exept one, 816093 is missing...
I used: xpsp1_en_x86.exe

You'd better ask in the XPCREATE's thread and GreenMachine personally.
So far I know, there's a big remake of XPCREATE underway and at this very moment there's not big language support in XPCREATE.

Q823718_MDAC_SecurityPatch.exe

I believe is the problem
though i haven't looked at the rest of the list (its really long, too many hotfixes :))
mdac's switches are different
u can see a lot of it in the forum..

edit: or put it in SVC-MDC..

Hi,

In BaTLeZone's DIRDESCRIPTION.txt he added this line:
SVC-WMS........ THIS IS FOR MS MESSENGER 6.1
is this possible to replace windows messebger with MSN messenger?
(with XPCREATE)

if so, does setting:
[Components]
msmsgs=off
affect this?

Yes, disables it but replacing wms with msn 61 will not update but force you to download the wms update before signing in

in X2M place wms first, then msn messenger in order (wms first) to alleviate that requirement before logging in

What i did with the older XPC i just replaced the 4.7 with 6.1 and have 4.7 turn off and it worked like a charm.

i have tried to do the same with the new one but can not confermed it worked yet.

with XCP DX9 it is done at the 13min mark along with the rest

i checked it out looks like WAY to much work for me but if u like to u would have to do it to ur xp-souce 1st before u use XPC then u would no longer need the DX9 update in the SVC-PRE folder.

or you could use jdoeback's batches, and just double click a file and its done for you :)
But do it before XPCreate and be srue to make sure the DX9 cats are in the svcpack.inf file

yes GM's dirlist.txt is very explanatory but only for what was listed.

i am trying to do a more advance (info) one for all of the folders so for ie i know were i can put a repack of something. yes i know i am getting ahead of GM and his rewrite of XPC but i'd like to know what the other folder are for :D

i like what u did with it and i changed it to show more of what i am trying to get at.

@GM

yes they are very nice but out of date.

for eg.

SVC-DAH
ENU_Q832483_MDAC_x86.EXE (MDAC Update)
KB832414_MSXML3.0_x86.exe (MSXML V3 Update)

SVC-DAS
MDAC_TYP.EXE (MDAC 2.8)

the folders are not in the new XPC (can't find the in the old one either)

I was trying to set up a current list for the new XPC and add more info so that I can undestand what i can put in a sertain folder or was the that ur job if so sorry.

Out of date? I beg to differ ... Those are the structures for even newer and improveder XPCREATE. This time I thought I'd do the doc first ... Other than the two directories you mention (that was easy: they are at the top of the list!) the other directories have already been implemented.

But I do appreciate the help, and that was the motivation for the half hour I took to update those pages. Note that the rest of the site is still outdated.

if u need some help with something let me know as well, sorry not much of a programer but i am shure i could be of use with something

Where would i put something that I already repacked like MSJAVA.EXE? would it go into SVC-EXE?
