Nuhi and users;

There is no official announcing that there will be a 7Lite, or know if you need help developing and ...
There is already developing this new OS (win 7)?
What is the estimate for us to have a Beta version?

Thanks

as most of people here noticed, nuhi is really busy with real life and probably he won't be developing 7lite. :( :( :(

I`ve seen some users made effort with vLite and Win7, other didn`t (like me).

We should compare and exchange our tricks and tipps.

Nuhi could give an answer to everyone is very sad if not developed the 7Lite. Finally, there are other alternatives to give a further update ...

There are good / many (n) differences between these 2 OSs (Vista x 7), right?
  • Remote Media Streaming;
  • XP Mode;
  • Device Stage;
  • 7codecs;
  • and ...
Makes clear that vLite is obsolete the Windows OS 7 :}

I managed to integrate the following nicely:
Internet Explorer 8.msu (English)
Windows6.0-KB933713-x86 Dreamscene.cab
Windows6.0-KB947506-v2-x86 Language Pack Fix.msu

Only one that i could not integrate was:
Internet Explorer 8 Estonian Language Pack.msu

vLite complained that it does not recognize the hotfix.

I know there is like 10 diff things you need that directly effect hotfix install, so thats why I had asked him that

An update from nuhi himself would be nice, but he has done an amazing job so far and if he got other things to do right now and his motivation for developing vLite and a new 7lite is lacking that is understandable and we can't really expect more from him!

A HUGE THANKS TO NUHI FOR HIS FANTASTIC JOB AND EFFORT WITH NLITE AND VLITE.

What he could do though is getting more people into the developing process? There is no need to be alone, having other people developing while he is busy would just benefit us all? Or even give out the source code if he is certain that he wouldn't be doing this any more for a very long time :)

Yes well i used untouched SP2 image.Nothing was removed.I would not even consider trying to integrate hotfixes into vlited build.I always integrate everything first and remove things at the final stages to be on the safe side.Also this way image should be a bit smaller

That isnt going to happen, your not the first person to utter these famed words, nlite is freeware and doesnt look like it will become open source.

It shouldn't be hard to add Win 7 compatibility to vLite, is it? Instead of building an entirely new program. nuhi couldn't add Vista support to nLite because 2000/XP/2003 have completely different installation routines as well as just plain being too different.

I am shifting to removing nothing except Manual Install and tweaking services to disabled to avoid compatibility problems and broken stuff, but until '7lite' is released or vLite adds 7 support, I wouldn't trust it to just tweak services.

Vlite would need quite a few things done to it to be ready for 7, I cant figure out whats screwing up my 7 disc, so I have went back to vista/serv08, I wouldnt hold breathe on 7lite, I do not have the time to go through each item on removal list one at a time so oh well
