A short while ago, just after down loading IE8 (might just be coincidental) I was no longer able to open my Paint Shop Pro programme which I’d been using for a few years. Thinking it may have been corrupted I uninstalled it & re-installed it. Still no luck. Two more uninstalls & reinstall – no go. The other interesting thing was that after attempting to open Paint Shop – IE would not open either and various other apps such as Outlook & My documents would become non responsive.
I went onto Corel’s website and downloaded the latest version of Paint Shop – same problem – would not open. So I uninstalled my original version of PSP and went to uninstall the newer version as well. Now the new version will not uninstall. If I try to uninstall it, or try to open an image with the PSP icon on it, other apps start to play up again and become non responsive again. I’ve gone back to IE7, but that hasn’t changed anything. So now I’m stuck with Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 because I can’t get it off my computer (OS XP Home SP3) and I’ve got a backload of photos I can’t work on. Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this problem?
