Visual patch for volume control (SndVol32)

Recommended Posts

Right... radio buttons should be dynamically changed if sound cards do not support multiple inputs...

Or someone might replace sndvol32.exe if his/her soundcard(s) do not support it.

Or better using a non-MS volume control, but most alternatives I found are even worse.

Btw, does any of those soundcards work on win98 (or win95)?

(It appears most soundcards need win98se (wdm) or don't run on win9x at all. I even have probs installing my soundcard on Win95 using the official driver (which may be an update driver but the original is not provided) etc...

It's pretty easy to build a sound control panel for 9x.

Both those cards work in Win98SE. Currently I have a dual-boot Win95b + XP-SP2 on the Compaq with the ESS card and Win98SE on the 300MHz AMD K6-II that hosts Avance Logic ALS4000. Initially I had Win95b on it too but the two drivers I found for that soundcard wouldn't work - both install but on reboot I get conflicts in Device Manager under all soundcard elements. Works fine under 98SE though.

Avance Logic has been taken by Realtek and drivers for their cards can be found at the Realtek site.

I have tried to explain to they, but of course, they know much better... specialists... hahahaaa...

This forum is dominated by some "special" persons and some corporated persons. The true is, if someone will make much better product than they, so this guy must be especially ashamed/provocated and banned for end.

1. The newest patch Sndvol32.exe 4.10.2009 (newest icons and fixed displaying, nlite version = no microsoft spam contents) is back again! - just copy to Windows folder directory.

2. Newest color scheme 31.05.2009 - right click and install.

Shame

Dude, your hack is a very minor little thing. If you are getting banned it is because you are acting stupid a bit too much and not because you do better products than Microsoft

FYI there are two big projects here, KernelEx and Revolution Pack which may actually qualify for your definition of "making better products than them". They have been here for years and it does not look like they are going to be banned anytime.
