hi people... hope this is the correct forum for this topic.

i'm wondering if is possible to integrate a default user profile into a windows xp disc installation, so that next time i re-install windows i don't have to run into doing too much configuration by merging lot of registry files. i know i can join all those file into a single .reg file but most of those configuration are for a single user, i.e. current logged user account. is kind of annoying having to do a long process like merging registry file on each user account, or creating a temporary account to alter Default User profile.

i know about nLite to do nice stuff to our installation disc but don't know if is possible to integrate an user profile, or even to change the default profile that windows use after installation, but to be used as the base of creating profile when installing windows xp. if it is, how would i do it. a link to a step by step guide would be nice. has been looking on the net but all i found is to change the default profile as in provided link.

any response is most welcome,
thanks

Something similar -

Noticed that TweakUI (during MSFN Search on "+default +user +profile") may help. Also a topic on the Hive INF. Basically, AFAIK, you have to set one up on a "test install" and get it into your Integrated install.

Try the MSFN Search to see what else can be found. Post back your efforts.
