BTHSERV, HIDSERV -- those are the two? I didn't see them listed in vLite anywhere. I did turn them back on once I was reinstalled, but it's still pooched. I think maybe UPNP needs to be on maybe?

Edit: Ehh looks like bluetooth needs QoS.

Was that all it need for those services to be re enabled and not to remove QoS?

Hi folks I am new here and have been studying how to vLite succesfully. Everytime I make a build it always ends up with "Windows cannot be configured to run on this hardware.". I can even leave every driver and hardware support in there and I get the same error...I have even used the inis from here without modification AND included every driver I have from exporting them in DriverMax....Anyone have any suggestions?

Read the full topic and you will have some hints or you can clarify what you have already tried. For starters: keep Game Explorer, IE, Firewall, ICS and MDAC.

Thanks for the reply and the good work you do...I tried Win7elite64.ini on a 64-bit OS and using 7600.16385 as the base and still no cigar...if it helps I am compiling the build to run on a laptop...

Are their any specfic files that needed to be protected on a laptop...no matter how I customize the ini (even if no customization is done at all). The same error occurs from the above. Can anyone help? I am at my wits end about this
BTW I have protected the files listed above

Sounds to me like your laptop processor doesn't have 64 bit extensions but i dunno what kind it is and what hardware is in it. There is no real benefit running a 64 bit unless you have 4gb of RAM or more. If you have 2 GB of RAM you are much better going the 32 bit route

On the contray quite not...here are my specs
Intel Core2Duo T9300 2.5
WUXGA 15.4 in Monitor
4GB Kingston 800MHz
nVidia 8600M GT 512MB model
120GB Seagate 7200
Optiarc CD/DVD Drive
Synaptics Touchpad
Foxconn Bluetooth
ENE CIR Device
Realtek HD Audio
Intel Pro Wireless 3945 ABG
Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet
Touchstrip Fingerprint Scanner
Ricoh Memory Card Reader
Motorola SM56 Modem

That is all my specs...can someone please tell me what is killing my vLite made distros now?
BTW I tried to run in VMware and I keep getting the same issue...

Also here is the most current ini I have tried to use

I would make my own preset and skip on the service tweaks test in a virtual machine as well.

Try checking the boot order of your hard drives in the bios or virtual machine settings.

Tried to turn on Modem/Printer hardware support and LLTD -- still not working.

I don't know how to do VMWare, so I don't think I have the patience to keep reinstalling =x

I noticed when using Jeronimo's preset that browsing via explorer opens a new window for every folder. Also what do I need to keep Media Centre working? I need it for my DVB-T stuff.

He needs to run this command using run or command prompt and reboot
regsvr32 /s "%SystemRoot%\system32\ieproxy.dll"

So, bluetooth services needs >> Remote Procedure Call (RPC), which also needs:
o DCOM Server Process Launcher
o RPC Endpoint mapper

I started all of these services and it still won't work.

And ever since last night I can't login to this forum on my PC. Frustrating.

Does anyone know which package to remove to allow deletion of the files in the sources folder (manual setup)?

Even then vLite gives you a new file in that folder install_Windows 7 ULTIMATE.clg so I am sure you have to keep that at least (and of course the 2 WIM files)?

I got errors removing all those packages last time, but then I was using the dead0 bat file and its not for 7600.

If you only have to remove one package that allows those files in the sources folder to be removed, which package?

only things needed are install.wim boot.wim and setup.exe and remove Manual Install using vLite that's it and the setup.exe from the original image in the sources folder

Liquid, I'm starting to remove stuff one by one to try and work my way up to your Ultra settings to figure out what's making bluetooth not work. Go buy a keyboard so you have a reason to figure it out =D

OK thanks. You mean the sources folder itself needs setup.exe putting in?

I have no setup.exe on the root and no autorun.inf either. Just setup.exe in sources

It does work now after using vLite to take out manual setup. :thumbup

EDIT: Nevermind I was being an a$$, 2 setups, of course there's not 2 setups, unless you UPX it and forgot you did it, lol

I still don't understand 1 thing: Why is it safe to remove the file vLite put there? I don't know but it is! I mean that CLG file.

My last two builds are stalling on connecting to the network on setup. Has anyone had this?

Yea its gonna stall a little bit its building the desktop profile for the first time but it shouldn't be more then 30 sec to a min max. In testing i have notice if you remove QoS or LLTD it lags a more then a standard install but your networking will still work fine. Also notice when removing the HomeGroup Shell Package using DISM as well.

User Account Control (UAC)
Run a legacy CPL elevated
Smartcards

Could possibly be the issues i would think or a service tweak possibly. You are barely removing anything. Is there supposed to be a blue-tooth icon in the control panel? Also did you check device manager and make sure it installed a driver for your receiver.
