Hi everybody,
I wanna know how to prevent WUD from overwriting the older downloads
In another word, how to download only the new updates that have been added in the new Update Lists instead of download the whole updates again.
TIA

Oh, I replied in your previous topic. His last update is from Dec, 2008.

c't Offline Update does more, is better maintained, and does an overall better job. No disrespect to jcarle intended.

Thanks beats
So that means there is no way that i can prevent WUD from overwriting previously downloaded updates?
anyway the offline update seems to be a neat program but does it have the same overwriting problem and if there is any general help file for it i will be very grateful.

You're not the first one requesting WUD from overwriting the older downloads. But as far as I know, this feature was never implemented. Offline Update only downloads files that are actually new and required: it maintains log files. ;)

About the general help, I'm not sure if there is such thing in English, but the program is pretty simple and straight forward to use.

Edit: Another viable alternative for offline updating would be AutoPatcher.

Hi

I would have thought you leave ticked what you want, and untick what you don't want.

hope that helps.
