pcandpc
Hi,I have an asrock p4v88 board where I am trying to add a new sata drive and set it up as a raid drive.Currently, I have one primary ide drive with vista home basic on it that I am trying to clone onto the new sata drive. Upon booting, my system bios doesn't see the sata drive at all. I followed the directions given by asrock for setting a sata raid drive by enabling it in the bios, but didn't work.Has anyone made this attempt successful on this board? Or any other suggestions? Thanks.
Tripredacus
RAID can't span controllers or hubs like that. You can't have an IDE and SATA drive in the same array. You need two RAID drives, but make sure you are using RAID edition drives for better reliability.
