OK, so recently I was trying to fix my old computer, I had realized the HDD was corrupted so I went and bought a new PATA HDD. Unfortunately, I came to find out that my old mobo was trash, so I decided to buy and build my own new computer. However due to money being a factor I had to stick with the PATA hard drive and instead get an IDE RAID PCI Host Controller from Sabrent. Now unfortunately, this new motherboard does not have an FDD port so in trying to create a partition I have to install the drivers, however I obviously can't use a floppy.

So today I got nLite and went about creating a custom XP boot disc. So I loaded all the drivers into XP (textmode), created the altered software then I burned it to a disc. After multiple tries I figured it was a faulty burn, I tried a new CD but it did not work. Now I decided I would try using XP SP2 Media Center edition, two CD tries and no success. Lastly, I downloaded Windows XP Black Edition, in yet another attempt to at least install the drivers but had the same results. I tried Vista since it can find drivers from CDs however it came up empty because the driver doesn't support installation on Vista.

The error message that comes up is showing that the CD isn't even being detected as a bootable disc.

"Boot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press a key"

Any potential solutions? I did try searching the forum beforehand so I wouldn't repost a common topic.

The only one that I seem to have left in my mind is that I forgot to name the actual CD accordingly for XP and XP Black, I named it correct for Media Center but I made both discs into one DVD and named it after the first so I don't know if that would negatively effect it.

Thanks for any help.
