My vote is for no, they just left out way too much and it was very obvious.
There were multiple occasions where huge events took place and there was no discussion over what just happened.
To me the movie was made just to build up for the next movie.

I accidentally watched it a few days ago (having only seen parts of the Philosopher's Stone before, and not having read any of the books, which, I guess, makes me unbiased). At moments it looked more like a soap opera, with the plot revolving around who would end up with who. Where is the magic I was promised :angry: ?
