Kotuku
Every gadget you add puts a new sidebar.exe process. This is normal. As to why Windows is running slowly, just uninstall the gadget and see if it improves. What Gadget was it?
neo
There is one process for Windows Gadgets and the other is a child process for 3rd party gadgets...
nitroshift
neo is right on this: the sidebar will open one process and some (third-party) gadgets will open their own process(es).
CoffeeFiend
If your OS runs slow then use process explorer. You'll see precisely which process is using up all the CPU (then you can double click on the said process, and see which threads are doing that too). Some 3rd party gadgets are poorly written too. ajua
It could be that the gadget you installed is badly written.Normally, with third-party gadgets running, you will see two sidebar.exe processes.
