heres my latest for ultimate x86:

have a look through my remove.bat file to see which files ive removed. also included my vlite session inis. with this version theres printer, lan, wlan & dotnet3 retained

i've checked your new files, but they are almost same as the first set posted here of files that i was using before which removed LAN/WLAN drivers etc. in fact in these new files, u have removed even more stuff so it will also remove the LAN and WLAN drivers

@LeveL: Would it be possible to remove those unremovable packages if you put them in their own batch file ?? Like remove them one by one.

scratch that tried it myself that doesn't work either and its strange only those 4 packages are unremovable.

you could edit the bat file to keep the lan/wlan drivers

@diablosephiroth: are you on x64 or x86.

@dead0: why is it that when I remove 4 packages from the removal list it works but if I leave them in I get an error saying image no longer serviceable ??

That is what I am doing, i run the driver install and most of the drivers install but some dont. I can then manually install these extra drivers but then the modem app does not recognize that there is a mobile modem installed.. I have an earlier build which is taking up much more space where it works so I am still investigating what part brakes it when removed ;/

i did try to remove everything starting with net in the ultimate and remove bat and still the wlan wont work (it's always disabled..even after flicking hardware switch etc) and the mobile broadband modem still is not detected by the connection software..
ohwell,guess I'll just have to use a somewhat bigger build until this is figured out :P

@Junior2613: the problem is probably the last package that removed properly. I had that with the "Editions"-package, when I removed the one which was related to the Windows 7 edition I was modifying.

ok,removed all the drivers from the remove.bat and got it working sweet now with wlan and lan...
but the wwan is still messed up..the drivers install fine and the connection software too..but it still isnt detecting the broadband modem..im guessing some service or similar was removed but I cannot figure out what :(
i can query the modem from the device manager etc but something isnt quite right as the manager doesnt detect it ;/

ok,finally after alot of tweaking Ive gotten somewhere.. i used the initial ultimate bat with some slight modification and also modded the vlite ini file but now I have both wlan,lan,wwan working..install size without hib and pagefile is slightly over 2.5gig for x86 version..i know this is big ;/..only problem ive noticed right now is that whenever I try to open any .mmc extension file (device manager or services ) i get an error that the app cannot open properly with error 0xc0000142 ..tried googling a solution but nothing yet

@Jeronimo: Problem is that there is only one packages that relates to the "Ultimate" edition and the other issue is that happens multiple times :S . I also had this when I tried your method and also on sausagehacks method so maybe i'm just extremely unlucky cause I follow each instruction to the letter but I just can understand why it does it. Only way it works is if I stop it removing those 4 packages but then that ruins the installation as I get an error during install saying some componenets couldn't be installed

Also does it matter which version of WAIK i use because im on Windows 7 so should I be using the WAIK for Windows 7 or the older one for vista ??
