THIS WILL ENABLE QUICK LAUNCH CLASSIC LOOK AND FEEL ON WINDOWS 7 VERSIONS

Never got tired of the new look in windows 7? Well i did. And found a way to make the taskbar look like good old XP days.


I started this topic some time, now after i wanted to reformat again. I took some time to look into the code again and make some improvements to the tool.

I suggest for the full joy and effect of quicklaunch classic 7 use following paramf.
Usage run "QuickLaunchClassic7.exe /NOPIN /TGL /TSI /AUTOTRAY /LBS3 /EXPLORER" without the quotes!.


/NOPIN
Removes The pinned list on windows 7 taskbar.

/TGL
Makes Taskbar buttons = Never combine

/TSI
Makes Small icons on windows 7 taskbar.

/AUTOTRAY
Disable AUTOTRAY on windows 7 taskbar.

/LBS3
Langbar is closed and will not be visible inside windows 7 taskbar.

/EXPLORER
Will end explorer and start it again with all options saved, This is usefull so you dont have to restart windows at all to take effect of changes

Thats because you have check what new toolbar is spelled in dutch. I dont know sorry, and you have to check the hotkeys also i have marked with bold in the code below, try to see if you can find the results with your keyboard(Rightclick on toolbar and use keyboard to find the hotkeys for dutch). i only got for danish and english sorry.

The regs dont work in windows 7, trust me i have tried everything mate :=)

This could be very handy. I've been fighting with a basic installation of W7 and noticed the Quick Launch Bar seems to disappear every few boots. What a pain! It may have something to do with the automatic alphabetizing and reordering that goes on. Any idea on how to turn that off as well? I ended up numbering each item so the order would stay. A kluge at best.

I'm actually pretty new to this stuff. I've been looking for a logon script to show my Quicklaunch automatically and this seems to be a good one... I'm just curious, what format do I save it in as I don't know much about scripts and I don't know what format it is...

Sorry i havnt been doing this for some time. I use numbers aswell .

I must look for and I've sometimes the window asking the folder I want open (the script doesn't go directly to Quick Launch, but inside My Documents)!?

(1) Change Language code

It is. Okay see this and make sure you only change this for language code.





Only change the market one with purple, and ofc your allowed to change the msgbox warnings. Thats all no more than that!!



(2)

QuickLaunch folder

This folder should have the same name no matter what version/language your on...

%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

you shall not change the name of that folder, thats going to be messy.


(3) Enumshell dump.

I have attached enumshell.. Download and and run it, it will make a txt dump in the folder enumshell on desktop.



Now i wanna know what MSTaskListWClass correct text is for my language (DANISH) so i run the enumshell to see. look below.

Make sure your on english version else translate it to your language. Make sure you didnt already have quick launch attached to the taskbar remove it first.

Doing by rightclick on toolbar select new folder, click on quick launch and it should now be gone. Try again.


I also running windows 7 64.

Tested english 32/64 bit. WORKING
Tested danish 32/64 bit. WORKING

I have tested with so many friends now. It works all the time.

I know what I'm doing with Quicklaunch http://www.msfn.org/...aunch-tutorial/

Now when I run it the taskbar goes to double height also. Tried from different folders and on desktop. Still double Quicklaunch. Perhaps I have some update you don't(I'm fully updated) or something is different.

EDIT: I think I know whats wrong. I copy from my previous and it already exists with my shortcuts. I run your old and enable it in my Unattended
When you blank screen and it comes back there is already Quicklaunch on left side near Start. Then it run's the clicking part and double's it.

perhaps you need to run some code to see if any shorcuts already exist and if so don't run second part?
