How can half-open concurrent connections be increased in Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 without user intervention (unattended)?

I have found patches and patched TCPIP.SYS files, but the concurrent connections do not seem to be applicable unattended.

Fix the checksum in the PE header, compress it, replace the old file on your CD. Done.

So no Windows setup file has to be modified?

Also, if an update patch is integrated into the installation source (and copy in SVCPACK directory), would the half-open connections patched TCPIP.SYS file be replaced (on Windows instance, not setup) with the update patch TCPIP.SYS?

This method may not work.

I tried it with a Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 with integrated updates, including one for TCPIP.SYS, installation source, but it did not work.

The patched TCPIP.SYS in the installation source is a valid patched file, but during the run of SVCPACK.INF the TCPIP.SYS file installed on the local disk is replaced with the unpatched file (presumably when the update patch for TCPIP.SYS runs).
