I have a machine shop at work and am trying to create a table of parts and priorities.

I'm using Microsoft Access 2000 and have two tables:

One is called "Project Parts" and has several fields - project name, priority, part number, description, qty need, etc.

The other table is called "Project Names" and has two fields: Project Name and Priority (i.e. 1,2,3,4) in order of project to be made.

In the project parts table, I have a lookup combobox for the project name from the project names table. That comes up fine and I am able to click any name from the combobox.

What I am trying to accomplish is to have the corresponding Priority # column autofill based which project is selected in the project name column. I've tried different things and had it show up inside the combo box, but cant figure out how to get it to show up its own column.

There are hundreds of parts we need to make and project priorities change often, so I need a quick way of numbering the projects which will then list all the parts w/ their project name, description etc and priority.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.
Anthony
