#1 you should have this as in the pic. I just ran and chose the sample.xml
BTW Need to add your user here also.

2. everyone running 64 install gets this sysprep thing, I add a note on what to do when sysprep don't start. Open cmd prompt and paste the line in there. I been fighting this and may be close to curing.

3. have never seen that. msg me your files in Install rar'd or something

#1 edited my xml to add the commands and tested in vmware
and they worked ok

#2 can't wait for the fix

#3 No they're not rar'd
More info: it happens during the install applications part
after I click ok on the add timeout box and the edit window appears.
the error only happens if I click on the "cleanup" box.

#3 Found it. When Cleanup.cmd exists but is empty. Quick fix open it and add just REM
I usually add about 20-30 apps which adds a lot of stuff in there for me.

I am still stuck on the PAck image portion. I creating the build on windows xp sp3 without firewall and anti-virus. I uninstalled them as a precaution. I tried deleting the zMountDir and I don't see the msdtc.cmd file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can I try packing this manually so I can tell what is going wrong ? I would also like to finally create the build so I can have fun with windows seven. Great job this app has a lot of potential.

sorry, you hadn't said anything in awhile and I forgot about this.

antivirus or firewall not allways the case, It is just looking for the mountdir\windows\explorer.exe
yes you can do it manually but it won't move the stuff in

tell me your OS again 64 bit? and Target OS?

are you using the latest from first post here?
If so add the right click wim. Try right click the boot.wim in your sources folder and try mounting.
if mounts then unmount and try the install.wim.

EDIT: if any fail go to this reg key and use the cmd lines in a cmd prompt window
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Windows.Image.Format\shell
that will tell you more

My source os is xp sp3 32 bit and my target is win 7 professional. I tried mounting the install.wim using the right click "Mount 4" and then the "Unmount 4" both were successful. I also mounted the boot.wim using the "mount rw boot wim 2" and the "_unmount boot wim 2" and that was succesful as well. What do I need to copy to the zmountdir from C:\Se7en_UA\uaDVD ? Once I do that what is the next step? Will the application allow me to move on to create the iso ?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I just got a 70 error cause I had folders open in sources when I tried to do something on Win 7. Allways make sure you have all windows closed on mountdir and sources and wait awhile. Seven locks the folders and don't allow things to happen

wow, now I wonder what is not set that allowing the Se7en_UA to do this cause it uses same cmd lines.

open the Se7en_UA\Appswitch.dat
go to near bottom and copy everything from [Vista_ABOUT] to bottom of file and msg me that. i say msg cause it may contain something you don't want out like passwords or keys or just remove those

then i'll see If I can tell you what you need to copy where

MetaIndex=4 is what matters and thats the Edition it will try to mount
the other Count=5 is just counting total images in the wim.

Don't see anything out of order and thats strange since it mounts with the right click stuff.
I'll get on my xp machine since its setup 32 right now and try and do professional next day or so.

do what I said in the PM to mount and move the stuff in and you should be ok. if you have a floppy drop the xml on it or better yet use a small usb drive, they work fine to have xml on and if it crashes you can edit the xml on another PC if you have it

@Viper999 one last ? what is target OS bits? 64 or 86

Installing applications: Never mind I figured it out
What am I doing wrong?
Working with a win7 64bit ultimate image on an install of the same.
I've made an installation DVD with 9 apps that are installed from the DVD.
It installs on a vmware virtual machine OK.
When I go back to Se7en_UA and click on roll back here and then
Add Applications. When I click the check box of one of the apps I've
already setup I get this popup

If I go to the apps folder, the sub folder for that app is gone.
I click on all the apps and the sub folders are deleted.
If I copy a backup of the APPS folder back to
UaDVD/APPS I'm able to setup the applications again.

Another question

If Iwant to install my apps from a second HD do I just need to put the APPS
folder on that drive and then setup the apps the sameway I've been
doing it?

Never had that problem with Apps folder i,e getting deleted in saying that i Never add my Apps folder to c:\ i always have them on different partitions or drives think this also answers your second question you can have as many APPS folders as you like .

I have removed that rollback cause of problems or rather modified it. It now takes it back to after dvd copy which is much more useable and no chance of mistakes.

I already had the 604 ready but Let me look at what you talking about here for awhile.

Maybe more info would be helpful
When I added an app the first time I would browse to the APPS folder in UAdvd
to the program I wanted to install. If I rolled back and went to change the apps
I got the error. Browseing to a APPS folder on mt second HD D: fixed the problem.

Rolling back to after dvd copy would probable fix the problem I'm having now.
My cleanup.cmd file got hosed after rolling back to add more apps.
It now only has one line to remove a link on the desktop for adobe reader.
All the other parts have ben removed.

That may be the problem.
APPS folder should be on the root of any drive. That way the Se7en_UA will see it regardless of where its installed or what drive APPS is on.
Attached File  1apps.png (2.72K)
Number of downloads: 8

Also answers the

Quote

install my apps from a second HD?

When I hit the desktop in 7 I have 3 drives. my 650gb split in 2 C and E and another 200GB drive which for some reason in 7 becomes Drive 0 and drive letter becomes D.

When APP installer starts after the 120 second delay(so it will load GUI desktop) it shows all APPS folders up to 3 on lower left. That does include USB Jump drives
You could put the APPS folder and the xml's on a jump drive if you have one big enough :)

Be carefull to pick right one that was updated.
Runs a whole lot faster off the Drive instead of a Dvd-Rw :thumbup
